Ozone or chlorine for your pool?
What ozone changes for swimmers, staff and the people who maintain the pool.

The problem with relying on chlorine alone
Chlorine keeps pools safe, but heavy chlorine use brings eye irritation, skin and respiratory irritants, a strong chemical smell, and the constant work of dosing and balancing the water.
What ozone does differently
Ozone is a powerful disinfectant made on site from oxygen. Because it is so effective, the pool needs far fewer chemicals. Fewer chemicals in the water mean fewer by-products, less smell and less irritation.
Once it has done its work, ozone turns back into oxygen.
- No chlorine sting in the eyes
- Lower upkeep: less algae and less chemical dosing
- Fewer chemicals, which is better for swimmers and the environment
- Gentler on allergy-prone swimmers
- Crystal-clear water
- Less odour
Do you still need chlorine?
Ozone does most of the disinfection, so far fewer chemicals are needed. Most pools still keep a small residual sanitiser in the water. We will advise on the right balance for your pool.
Who benefits most
School and training pools, where children and staff spend long hours in the water, and hotel, club and resort pools, where comfort and clear water matter to guests.
