How to choose an ozone generator
The questions that decide which system is right, and how we answer them with you.
4 min read

1. What are you treating?
Water, air, surfaces or produce. Bottled water, pool water, wash water and effluent each need ozone delivered and dissolved differently; cold rooms and washrooms need it in the air.
2. How much, and how fast?
The size of the generator follows from the flow or volume you need to treat, the quality of what comes in, and the result you need at the end. This is where testing pays for itself.
3. Test before you buy
We offer laboratory testing of water, soil, air, gases and other media, treatability studies, pilot testing and testing on site. The results tell us how much ozone your process actually needs.
4. Control and build quality
Look at what keeps a generator running reliably year after year.
- Microprocessor control for smooth, consistent operation (H, P and M Series)
- Oil-free compressors for clean, quiet feed air (Skid System, C, S, H and M Series)
- Double-walled, non-corrosive SS Duplex electrodes (H and M Series)
- Protection against temperature and power variations (P Series)
5. Maintenance
Ask how often the generator needs attention and how easy that is. Several Servo Ozone series are serviced through a single service door, with cleaning needed only once a year.
6. The rest of the system
A generator needs ozone-resistant tubing, a non-return valve, a way to get ozone into the water (a venturi injector and static mixer, or a diffuser), and an ozone destructor for leftover gas. Plan them together.
