What ozone does
Made from oxygen. Back to oxygen when the work is done.
Ozone is three atoms of oxygen held loosely together. That third atom makes it a powerful oxidiser: it disinfects water, air and surfaces, then falls back to ordinary oxygen.

Generate
Inside the generator, an electrical discharge turns oxygen (O₂) into ozone (O₃). It is made on site, as needed.

Oxidise
Ozone breaks down bacteria, viruses and fungi, and the compounds behind odour, colour and off-tastes.
03
Revert
Its work done, ozone returns to oxygen. No chemical residue is left behind.

Packaged drinking water

Ozone, in short
What is ozone?
Ozone (O₃) is a molecule made of three oxygen atoms. It is a strong oxidising agent, which is what makes it such an effective disinfectant for water, air and surfaces.
How is ozone made?
An ozone generator makes it on site. An electrical discharge turns oxygen (O₂) into ozone (O₃), so there is nothing to transport or store.
Does ozone leave a chemical residue?
No. Ozone breaks down into oxygen after it has done its work, and does not leave hazardous chemical residues behind.
What happens to ozone that is not used up?
Leftover ozone gas is passed through an ozone destructor, which converts it back into oxygen before it is released. Servo Ozone's OD-Series destructors use a manganese dioxide catalyst.
What does Servo Ozone make?
Ozone generators (six series, including a skid-mounted system), Oxy industrial oxygen concentrators, ozone air sterilizers for rooms and cars, and ozone accessories: venturi injectors, static mixers, diffusers, destructors, PTFE tubing, non-return valves, HEPA filters, electrodes and PCBs.
